About this event
Kevin Zerbe, Hazard Analysis and Resilience Planning Supervisor for the Washington Emergency Management Division, shares findings from a new analysis that mapped 45 years of repetitive flood losses across the state - revealing areas of concentrated, recurring damage. By examining clusters of repetitively damaged structures and tracking how these patterns have shifted over time, Kevin and his team identified regions where communities continue to face persistent flood impacts. This session will explore how spatiotemporal data analysis can strengthen statewide flood risk reduction strategies and support proactive, equitable decision-making for the future.
