The Healthy Waters Coalition seeks to unite communities across the Ohio River Watershed to take action to restore and protect rivers, lakes, streams, and wetlands to ensure all people have access to clean, healthy water.

National Wildlife Federation is working with partners to form a coalition to restore and protect the waters of the Ohio River region by securing a regional restoration plan and the federal funding from the U.S. Congress to implement it. The region is vast – containing portions of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia, as well as the federally recognized Tribal Nations of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the Seneca Nation of Indians.
