Course Description

This eight-hour, non-technical course empowers individuals and organizations with the awareness and practical skills needed to combat today’s cyber threats. Whether at work or at home, participants will learn how everyday actions can strengthen cybersecurity and prevent disruptions to business, government, and emergency response operations.

The course emphasizes hands-on techniques that provide immediate personal value and foster a lasting culture of cyber hygiene and resilience across your organization.

Who Should Attend

· Information security and cybersecurity personnel and managers

· Emergency responders and planners

· Risk management and emergency management professionals

· Healthcare, public works, and education sector representatives

· Critical infrastructure operators (public and private sector)

· Anyone responsible for identifying, responding to, or planning for cyber incidents

Participant Criteria

· Must be a U.S. citizen

· A FEMA Student ID (SID) is required for registration. Obtain one at https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid, or TEEX staff can assist upon arrival.

· Prior attendance approval from your host jurisdiction is required.

None.

Cybersecurity Essentials Certificate Program

Completion of this course counts toward the Cybersecurity Essentials Certificate.
Students completing all five courses within three years may apply for a printed certificate by emailing: business.cybersolutions@teex.tamu.edu
